Burger King is bottom tier. The Taco Bell nuggets are inconsistent which is….consistent for Taco Bell.
I can see how they could be viewed as overrated with the recent surge in popularity but they were underrated and lumped in with a bunch of not great bands (and I'm a nu metal defender) for the last 25 years.
They never got play like the nu metal bands that broke through and I wound up enjoying. The revitalized reverence for them that has been popping up has caused me to go back and listen and…I don’t get it. I remember trying White Pony back on AP, probably because of Drew, and not getting it then either. Them and Thursday just kinda seem like bands I missed the boat on.
Some of yall didn’t hear Change on the DBZ Cooler’s Revenge movie soundtrack at a young age whilst you were at a sleepover with your friend Patrick in ‘02, and it shows.
I’m sure if I played that while playing Halo or NFL Fever I’d have a soft spot for it. But no, I was playing Dane Cook’s Harmful if Swallowed and the Limp Bizkit Faith cover on repeat
I’ve tried several times and deftones do nothing for me. I’d much rather listen to other nu metal and nu metal adjacent bands of that time.
Full Collapse and War All The Time are both great albums. Don’t care about the rest of Thursday’s discography.
I was never into nu metal aside from the big songs, and I have no interest in going back and listening to full albums of any of those bands. They remind me of my cousin’s basement
