That one isn't about the making of a real movie though, right? I started but didn't finish it. I am saying there is a flaw in movies that attempt to document the creation of a better work. It is hard for me to think of one, potentially outside of Ed Wood, that does the job.
I feel there is a similar flaw in stories that revolve around a fictional artistic genius as when the work is shown it inevitably falls far from genius. The story crumbles as we realise all the characters fans of hack art. The alternative is to never show it which is different cop out.
Yeah I’m not a fan at all of movie about making a real movie. I just never miss an opportunity to talk about a great ChanMan performance
Mank is obviously more about the writing than the production, but definitely fits the “work about creating great work” category and I do really like it.
Do 8 1/2 or Day for Night count? Shadow of the Vampire should, even with the fiction. Dolemite Is My Name was a bit formulaic but good. Oh, Steve. It's an absolute all-timer
Sean Burns has always sucked. Had to unfollow him for constantly glazing Woody Allen because he doesn’t believe he did anything wrong.
There’s a third “lesbian movie” but I don’t know if Qualley is in that one. I know Coen’s wife is calling it a lesbian trio of movies. I’m already seated in the theater
Today I finally visited the Chicken shop. They are always open on Good Friday. On arrival I notice there are no diamonds on display only a shrine to Star Wars and Batman, there is however a sign for the International Jewelry Fair above the shrine. I order my chicken and inspect the shrine for diamonds. No luck. As I collect my chicken I inquire about the diamonds. The lady tells me that yes they did used to have a vending machine that sold them but a man from Melbourne bought the whole thing and opened a jewellery store, she added they also sold him the patent and that it had all worked out very well for them. She asks if I have had the chicken burger before and told me I was going to love it there's like five pieces of chicken in there. She was right.
I randomly decided to rewatch Deepwater Horizon on Max. This is the best of Peter Berg's 5 Wahlberg movies.
I don't like loud noise and lots of people cramped into a room so I would always just hangout in the porch or in the backyard for house parties. I am the same with bars, 90% I am drinking in the outside area because it's too overstimulating for me inside.
