My students complained for a whole year when I wouldn't let them see the Angelina Jolie Beowulf scenes.
Buffets should make a comeback. There was something so exciting having that smorgasbord at your fingertips.
The other day I was trying so hard to remember the name of Ponderosa. KFC and Pizza Hut buffets were fun but stuff like Ryan's/Stacy's/Whistle Junction were the real excitement. One of them would have a clown for kids' night and he would make balloon animals.
There is a new buffet in Titusville that has a 12 dollar lunch. It is a 45 minute drive but I have nothing better to do.
One of the problems I have with buffets is that you pay up front with no option to tip on your card and I never have cash for the busser.
Titusville food is largely cafeteria food in my experience but there is a) a really good breakfast spot and b) a really good shellfish spot. that's about all I remember.
i don't typically love buffets but a bbq buffet and an indian buffet are superior to the plated versions of those
Our local grocery chain had an amazing salad bar that they got rid of during Covid. They had anything you could think of for a salad.
well the entire hot bar area definitely had macaroni and cheese, not sure about nachos and ribs though.
We had a really good Mac n cheese bar at work the other day. I was in heaven. I went with cavatappi, broccoli, shredded chicken and cracked pepper
A Calling (Thursday 8:10 am Metro to Tullawong) The metro has become so crowded in the morning they have installed people to ride the train and instruct people on how to behave. I will be applying. Hopefully they will improve the uniform in line with my suggestions.
This morning at the gym I was informed of a new chicken shop around the corner, described as "bad at business but good at chicken". Already sold, im always saying you dont want to buy chicken from the business boys, you buy it from the chicken boys. My friend describes his experience ordering a pick up wrap for his wife and getting handed a baton of bread with a full chickens worth of chicken inside that she couldn't even finish half of and he couldnt help because they had stuffed a half chicken into his burger. They had a attempted to take over the pub bistro when it changed owners last year but quit after 1 night because there were too many customers. Later they had to close shop for a week because they had unpaid debt in Queensland. When they reopened they were now also selling lab grown diamonds. At this point I am excited for chicken and suggest that we go for lunch today. Not so fast im warned, we need to make sure they are open because their hours dont make sense. This week they are "taking a break" and only open Thursday Friday.
