Never seen ER but my man Mr Jones has indicated a great way to watch Star Trek. It just depends on what you define as 'filler.' Most of the lists I've seen for this differentiate between total nonsense bad filler eps, eps that are fun and good but nonetheless filler, eps that are mostly filler but have one or two important beats, and non-filler. I don't do it with TNG or DS9 but I followed this with Voyager because there was no way i was watching all of Voyager Voyager Episode Guide
I'm not concerned with people trying out an episode, although I do feel starting at the beginning is the way to go. We don't have to fight, Tim. We're on the same side.
My son is watching a lot of OG rugrats and it's nice to have a show that you can just sit down and watch and not have missed anything form not seeing other episodes of the show. It helps that I watched them all so much when I was a kid that I can identify the plot of nearly every episode from just a couple of seconds of watching lol
Hey in video games some people just get the main quest out of the way first before they dig into all the side quests. Same philosophy but with TV.
This is the same guide I used lol. Memory Alpha the Star Trek fan wiki has some good storyline guides too.
Back when shows were first being put on DVD some of the studios would put out Best Ofs or compilations of the best episodes. Always seemed like that would be frustrating.
i kinda feel like this every time i post a few risky posts on this board. now that i’ve been banned several times, i will just conform / hide my authenticity.
This is literally titled Unpopular Opinions. If you’re posting something here, you gotta know you’re gonna be disagreed with and it’ll start conversation. That’s the whole point
i disagree with @imthegrimace. does that mean i agree with @Meerkat and have somehow discovered a loophole
Did any streaming service ever add a "random episode" mode? I remember a lot of people calling for that comfort watch sitcoms.
futurama / bob’s burgers is probably good for that. cartoons made partially for kids tend to be serialized / exist in of themselves
