Bojack Horseman is still dumb in the beginning of the 2nd season. Y'all are playing one elaborate joke on me, aren't you?
I still think if you didn't like s1 you're not gonna like the rest. Show does get better as it goes on, but the core formula doesn't really change imo
Parts of season one were great but the last two seasons have been spectacular. I'm not a big fan of Todd/Mr. Peanutbutter's more absurd storylines but they have far more depth to them than most of those character types usually get. Diane/Carolyn are two of my favorite characters on TV right now though.
If you still care at all, I'd recommend trying the second one out at the very least. Love R&M but the pilot is awful and a bad representation of the show
The Last of Us is mediocre. If your video game would work better as a movie than as a game, you might want to rethink the design philosophy. The first Bioshock is the worst game in the series. Bioshock 2 is the best game in the series and it's not particularly close. The best tv show of all time is Justified. The Constantine film from 2005 is legitimately great. The Need for Speed adaptation is underrated.
It's a fantastic show but I think Bojack either resonates with you or it doesn't. I'm rewarching it now and I'll admit that it takes a little while to really get going but if you're not into it midway through S2, I dunno if you ever will be.
They're not opinions. They're facts. "Fun" as a description is often used negatively by pretentious people who are obsessed with "art". Justified could be a show about a bunch of its characters sitting on a porch talking to each other and it would still be better than The Sopranos. I'll admit, it's only better than Deadwood because Deadwood didn't get a proper ending.
"Justified is fun. The Sopranos is art." ^You know how many times something to that effect has been said about certain shows when making comparisons? Fun is often used negatively for one show to make another look more important. The idea that a show has less artistic value because it's more entertaining to watch has always been baffling to me.
