Every year I tell myself I am going to be a strict and serious teacher but by November I am gossiping with one class about what two kids I saw getting close in a different class and pointing out who had a really bad hickey.
I’m not really sure what to say here? In my experience you put random words into mad libs and they come out weird. So if I was intentionally trying to sound weird, I still couldn’t hit on sentences as strange
There is plenty of teacher and administrator drama that can be fun to gossip about but the problem there is that there are real consequences like people getting divorced or fired. With the kids it is all meaningless. When I taught freshmen it was funnier because they would always talk about people cheating on one another and I realized that at that age getting "cheated on" was something like they liked someone's Instagram picture.
I watched Gladiator over the weekend for the first time since I want to see the new one. I don't really get the hype. Pretty shallow action adventure movie with a revenge plot. The way they filmed most of the fight scenes made them hard to watch for me. Its a shame since I thought the sets for the fights were usually pretty cool and the armor/costumes were fun but I felt like I was watching with one eye through a toilet paper tube. Also the constant cutting and shaky cam is awful here. Couldn't really appreciate the fight choreography at all due to the way it was filmed. Don't really have high hopes for 2 if its anything like the first in terms of the cinematography.
Gladiator is fine. A lot of people have fond memories of it because they don't make those sort of movies anymore.
It was the first rated R movie I saw, and my mom took me to see it right after my parents divorced so it has a special place in my heart. I leaned on Maxmimus as a heroic figure who persevered in the face of tremendous tragedy. That said, it's not without problems. In no universe would Marcus Aurelius (or any other politician) advocate for a return to the Roman Republic, and the battle scene is pure fiction in terms of Roman tactics. My favorite aspect of the film these days might be the soundtrack. Lisa Gerrard has a heavenly voice.
Since I never saw this as a kid, all I can hear in the soundtrack is the main Pirates of the Caribbean theme even though its a different song. Dude straight up copied Zimmer in Pirates. Funny how Zimmer ended up hired to do the Pirates sequels.
I bought leather roman sandles and wear them about. People often question the choice to which I repond My inspo is gladiator and Jesus. Who ever accomplished anything in sneakers?
One of the passages in Old Teatament mentioned Jesus’ affinity for Adidas Sambas so idk what you’re talking about
