i like the theater crowd because when someone gets domed in a horror movie the whole theater laughs and thats community
Everyone paid to see a movie, so shut up and don’t ruin it because you wanna talk. Watch it at home if that’s what you want to do.
the most talkative movie theater crowd i've ever been in does not come close to as annoying or talkative as the most talkative concert crowd i've been in
I have had fun with responsive crowds at fun movies. I've laughed at comments I've heard others make to the movie in the theater. I'm not wholly against it, but it's an extremely fine line and it depends on the movie to an extent
it's more fun with certain genres too. an uproarious crowd during a fun horror movie can be additive. i don't need to hear you talk during conclave though
The problem is more that most people are not funny. The odds of the person making quips during the movie also being funny are slim to none.
Yeah I can’t think of a time someone tried to make a joke in the theater that added anything positive to the experience. I love viewing with an audience for community reactions like laugher, groaning, frights, etc but any actual talking is always a nuisance imo
Anyone that goes into a movie thinking they’re gonna “MST3K it” can automatically be assumed to be not funny and also doesn’t understand the reason MST3K was so sharp was because the riffs were pre-written.
During the first DGG “Halloween” movie, we had some awful teens right behind me that were just there because it was a free movie and thought they were putting on a show for everyone. The only joke I remember them saying is an officer says “We’ve got an officer down” and one of the guys said “More like officer up!” It makes no sense and it haunts me everyday.
I think when I saw barbarian there was a group of teens loudly yelling and laughing the entire movie. I think 5 different people told them to shut up and they didn’t.
Lol when my grandma was alive she was that old person who would go see literally every single movie that was in theaters. Her favorite movie of all time was Jaws and every time she'd come visit us we had to set up a portable DVD player so she could watch it to fall asleep. RIP My best theater experience was seeing The conjuring and the older ladies near us totally terrified and screaming. It was great
Hard agree. I never really liked roasted turkey until I put cranberry sauce on that and it was game over. Good job tetra
See, if they grew up in my home town, someone would have ratted those kids out and they would have been kicked out with no refunds Source: happened to me and my friends and we weren't even talking.. people just didn't like that Hot Rod was making us laugh out loud
I only just tried stuffing a couple years ago because it always just looked gross to me. Boy was I wrong
Love the few days after thanksgiving when I just make a big ol slop bowl of stuffing and mashed potatoes
Tetra you bring me in then I'm back out. A leftover turkey sandwich with cranberry and stuffing is fantastic.
