My Mum started playing MarioKart Double Dash during Covid. Orginally she only played as the Koopers and refered to them as "her boys" and would get upset when shed lose a race and they would cry over the loser rankings music. Later she unlocked the Toads and annouced it as "the best thing that has ever happened". She would exclaim how much fun she was having using their golden mushroom to zoom around the track but felt bad for cheating on her boys. The cheating continued because winning is more important.
If she was winning a race she would yell at us all to get out because she would get nervous and get sweaty hands which would ruin her driving and that would be our fault.
Im worried about the ending, she had a heart attack earlier this year and it changed her personality. Now shes even more silly and loves gambling.
Today our unit icebreaker is about what social rules you would like to change or get rid of and I think I can just use my posts from this thread to start arguments.
So far the biggest complaint my students have come up with is that cake pops at Starbucks shouldn't be four dollars.
Some of them will have a few genuinely thoughtful responses when I read them but no one is going to shout out real issues at 8:45 in the morning.
Sounds like your question about issues at 8:45 in the morning is a question answered by it being 8:45 in the morning.
