Gen z will get nostalgic for apps. I used to love clicking the purchase button and unticking the sign up for further promotions box, now the implant just scans my brain and plays the movie. Sure it's more convenient but I missing thumbing around on a physical smartphone and the little vibrations it gives you.
Offering a commemorative ticket for a fee is genius I wonder why artists haven't milked that for all it's worth. I kept all my concert stubs but they're just in a big bag but whenever I stumble across them they're fun to remember and die inside how much cheaper they were. But I'm also fine not worrying I'm gonna lose my tickets or forget them at home. Nice to have them on my phone
I have a stub book and the last pages of it are exactly that, me printing them for probably a year or so before I gave up
Rugrats was always the one I disliked. I only watched it to kill time between Doug and Ren & Stimpy, although I'd bet none of those cartoons have aged particularly well.
I love that the defence of Doug is always "it was relatable though! He was a normal kid like us!" Hey! Arnold was relatable too, and they did it way better.
" I am adult with a job I don't have time to critically assess kids cartoons that were actually meaningful to my early cultural development! Wait holdup I gotta spend approximately 3 hours posting about this cool Criterion movie that came out when I was 2 years old "
Doug, Hey Arnold, Rugrats, Angry Beavers, Ahh Real Monsters, Kablam, Invader Zim, Rocket Power... Loved it all
I mean rewatch childhood cartoons if you want but there are so many movies and shows I’m not going to get to I don’t need to rewatch Doug at age 35.
I did rewatch some SpongeBob and Courage the Cowardly dog recently after probably over a decade and it was some serious comfort food
