That one user who used to work for a theater is gonna come in and say how terrible early morning showtimes would be.
Here is an idea: back in the 30's/40's/50's they had special "newsie theatres" that were separate from regular theatrical movie theaters. They would just play newsreels and cartoons on a loop all day for a 20 cents. They should bring something like back but have it just be cable tv in a theatre. Where I can pay 6 bucks and spend a Saturday sitting in a comfy theatre watching random episodes of Bar Rescue on the big screen.
One of the local theaters used to occasionally do event TV like a season premiere of a big show or something. They even did some football games. I don't think they made any money though.
this is back when my work schedule was all over the place and so was my sleep schedule and I’d have random weekdays off so I’d see a bunch of stuff on Tuesday or Wednesday mornings.
I hear people say that and I really need that to become true for me cause I can sleep like 24 hours with no problem
I regularly wake up at 7am on my weekends. Great way to get some quality alone time. I can also get by on like 5-6 hrs of sleep a night so even if Im up pretty late I'll usually still be up around the same time.
I’ve hated the idea of sleeping past, like, 9am or so since entering my 30s. Not that I have to worry about that, when there’s a better chance of my body being like, “lol, it’s 5:30 and we’re awake now; fuck you.” But, even if I’ve been lacking sleep, I’d feel like shit emotionally if I woke up at 9:45 or whatever. It feels like I’m wasting my day and life.
I stay up later than I should most days because I feel like that’s my alone time and if I go to bed early I waste it.
