As someone who lives in Florida and frequented Boston and has driven through New York a few times, Florida is fucking insane. Do not drive on I4. Just don't do it.
They call I-4 the Highway of Death for a reason. All more reason why high speed rail between Tampa-Orlando is so important and the fact they've held it back for 25 years after Florida overwhemingly voted for it in 2000 has literally cost hundreds of lives. That blood is largely on Rick Scott's greedy con artist ass hands.
I don't know how unpopular it is, but I get annoyed when someone refers to an actor in a small role before they were famous as a cameo. That isn't a cameo; a cameo is a surprise small appearance by a famous actor. It is meant to be a surprise; no one said oh look who it is when Jonah Hill showed up for two minutes in the 40 Year Old Virgin.
those are the best too. like Paul Dano in The Sopranos. I was rewatching The Virgin Suicides the other day and realized Hayden Christensen was in it lol
You did not lol Veronica Mars is another great one for constantly seeing early actors in small roles with plots that last like half of an episode
The cameo post is sound but tbh I’m not sure I’ve ever heard anyone actually do that before. Are these mostly students @Morrissey?
Those kinda early small roles obviously aren’t literally “cameos.” But, in an informal context, who cares, y’know?
Natalie Portman in heat Cameo isnt the right word, we dont have a word for it. I propose camou, as from camouflage. Its similar to cameo but they werent recognisable at the time
True, I guess there isn’t a word specifically for a bit part played by a person who later got famous.
i agree with this but i feel like phenomenon of a small part being made into a retroactive cameo is noteworthy and fun
The X Files is great for that too. I was surprised to see a young Jack Black and Ryan Reynolds among others the first time I watched.
