Well I'd say Big Bang humor is just bad. South Park at least gets laughs out of me. Also it just shits all over everything which I get rubs people the wrong way. I never took the show seriously enough for that to bother me, like I wasn't going to it for on point political satire or anything like that haha.
Actually amazing. I actually quite like The Big Bang Theory for those moments where I get home from work and I'm wrecked and want something easy to watch, or when I'm hungover. Those moments are good for multi-cam sitcoms.
Everyone picks on The Big Bang Theory, and it deserves the criticism it gets, but the Walking Dead and Game of Thrones are just as bad, especially given how they are given a semblance of respect from people who should know better.
Game of Thrones is by no means as bad as either of them. The Walking Dead is the dramatic equivalent of BBT though.
I disagree with a lot of your posts, but this one is 100% spot on. People turn a blind eye to all of GoT's problems and I just don't get why. I watch it, but it's mostly because I already came so far with the show that I want to see the conclusion.
I am probably the most critical person of GoT here who is also still a fan and in no way does it come close to The Walking Dead.
It is deeply disappointing that since the Sopranos the big HBO shows have been True Blood and now Game of Thrones. How much lower can it go?
What a disaster, and it is being made by the Game of Thrones people! Alternative history is mostly silly, but why would you want to make a show where the premise is that the worst aspect of the United States never went away? What possible value could it teach us? There was a point where HBO was showing The Sopranos, The Wire, Deadwood, and Curb Your Enthusiasm at the same time. It is a pretty huge collapse that not enough people talk about. They are doing better with comedies, but it used to be a place with adult dramas.
What are even considered the best dramas on right now? Other than Twin Peaks, I am not watching any. Top of the Lake is coming back, but that is really more of a miniseries that happens to have a second season four years later.
