So bad. Especially Zach Braff. Although I'm not sure if this opinion is that unpopular, I know plenty of people who dislike it. I could be wrong though.
South Park is one of those shows where I've never had any desire to sit down and watch an episode, let alone a whole season, but if I'm at a friend's house or something and it's on super late at night I'll watch it. I've enjoyed what I've seen but I'll never delve into it I don't think.
That's The Simpsons for me. I regret not getting into it when I was young I've never heard anyone say otherwise, espeically considering the last decade
Really? Everyone in Australia acts as if the show began at Season 10 and it's been fire non-stop since.
South Park had actively harmed a generation of viewers with some horrific shit played for "laughs." And in the end it's convinced people doing or believing awful things is ok if you say it's a joke. It's borderline alt right propaganda at times and their climate change episodes should go down as criminal.
i can see it being very difficult to getting into simpsons now. i couldn't even imagine kids or whatever enjoying the 'glory years' either. I mean maybe? I hope so! There's gold throughout the simpsons history.
Yeah, I grew up in a very religious household and wasn't allowed to watch The Simpsons. It was the show I would sneak away to watch. The thing is, those glory years really have a lot of heart, and that's what makes them so endearing.
So glad I got to be part of the era that watched 'the golden years' as they originally came to air. Made for the best schoolyard talk the next day, and still makes for great drunken quotes.
I've seen my fair share of the Treehouse episodes and I really love reading about the show but I haven't been able to bring myself to start somewhere yet. Endearing is such a good word though. I love the world of The Simpsons despite barely knowing anything about it
@FrenzalRob It's kind of a random one, and I forget the exact episode, but there is a scene where there is a building on fire and a robot rolls in front of the screen and lifts his arms and goes, "Why was I designed to feel pain!?" As a kid I thought that was the funniest shit I'd ever seen and still quote that today.
you want random shit i quote pretty frequently lol that and 'go to bread' is pretty frequent in my vernacular
That's interesting. I feel it's the opposite here in Canada/America. By the time 10 started, most of the talk was that the show was on its way out and that idea becomes more prevalent each year. I still like it but 4 - 9 are my favourites as a whole
I've seen season 1-8 I think and I literally couldn't tell you about a single episode. I know it's a highly quotable show but none if it sticks with me. That's part of the appeal, the humor is so mind-numbingly stupid you can just watch it and completely zone out.
Respectfully disagree. I'd say a lot of the humour around the season 4-8 mark is quite smart. Shows like The Big Bang Theory is where the mind-numbingly stupid zone out stuff comes in.
