Some celeb pods can be pretty good. I love This is Important from the workaholics guys and used to regularly listen to Conan. I've found that a good amount of stand up comedians I follow who have their own podcasts started to go downhill with their on stage material after doing pods for a long time.
I hate so much hearing Bill Simmons do ad-reads for like, Shell gasoline. Why are they advertising gasoline on my movie podcast and why is a guy who sold his company for several hundred million dollars doing them
Same! And I like all three guys. It pisses me off that it’s become a company for them now. Like, you guys are already multimillionaire working actors. Why do you need a podcast company?
This might not be unpopular around here but since virtually no theater does it, there should be an intermission every 90 minutes of a movie. If the movie is under three minutes, roughly around the halfway mark (but planned and not cutting a scene in half).
Or just pee before the movie. Medical exceptions aside, it should not be hard for regular people to go without peeing for three hours.
As long as I don't drink anything during the movie, yeah, but I'd want to have a beer from concessions lol
I put off Indiana Jones for a while and keep putting off Mission Impossible and Oppenheimer because they are so long. Barbie was such a refreshing reasonable runtime.
I don’t mind intermissions, anything that makes moviegoing more of an event and more convenient for moviegoers is good. But why do people still make cold movie runtime takes when stuff from A Brighter Summer Day to War and Peace to Jeanne Dielman all justify their runtime and then some. No one forces anyone to see long movies
You are talking about incredible works of art. Summer popcorn films keeps getting longer and more bloated.
Any good movie that is longer longer than 120 minutes (ideally 90 minutes) should have been a good miniseries is my take on that
I never drink anything at a movie anymore. One time I missed a whole monster attack in Super 8 running to the restroom. Never again.
I couldn't go see a movie in theaters without popcorn, soda, and either cookie dough bites or Reese's Pieces. One theater nearby started selling chips but that is just too noisy.
True, which is why I generally don’t see 2.5 hour+ summer blockbusters anymore (I wouldn’t include Oppenheimer with Indiana Jones and Mission Impossible)
