Now this is a good take tbh. Like “slow mode” on Discord, but just with gif posts; you have to wait for the timer to go down before you use another one.
Spoken like someone who’s never been part of a Discord server conversation that got heated enough that mods had to implement slow mode. Sometimes you need a limit imposed for people with limited self control.
have only been a part of small discord communities that are manageable, seems like a nightmare if it's more than 30 people actively using it
The only Discord server I use is one for a popular X-Men podcast (Cerebro), which is one of the best online communities I’ve been in for talking about the comics medium. Sure as heck beats Twitter much of the time, lol. But, as with any online community, every once in a blue moon a topic will arise that gets people heated. And if that happens, “slow mode” is a very useful moderation tool.
It is absolutely, most definitely not. You (as in you Americans) might call it that, but you also call your horrific cheese “Swiss” lol
You do get it a lot here in restaurants, but we don’t really do it at home here yeah, or only for like “special” drinks.
