less of an unpopular opinion and more of an uncommon fact but i've never seen a movie with the rock in it
I think the concept of A.I. goes over a lot of people's heads and that's why people tend to dislike it. It's a complex one and not something that can be distilled into a simple message, it's much more than a movie about a robot wanting to be loved. That and as it's been said before, people unfairly compare it to Spielberg's other work. Had Kubrick lived to direct it, it probably would have a much different view from people.
Speaking of Spielberg, I find that Close Encounters of The Third Kind gets left out a lot when sci-fi greats get disscussed. It's a solid movie and the cinematography is in it is excellent.
I liked Pain and Gain and Moana a lot. I enjoyed Fast 6 but it's the only movie in that franchise I've seen.
Fast 1-4 are such a slog to get through, but Fast 5 (where the Rock joins) onward are just so fucking dumb and over the top that it's hard not to have a good time, especially when you're drinking and hanging out with some buddies. I mean, just look at this! This has got to be one of the dumbest things I've ever seen in a movie. I love it.
Mystery Men is a severely underrated comic book movie. If it came out decade later people would have loved it.
I had never heard of this, so I looked it up earlier today, and then tonight, I listened to the newest episode of a movie podcast I check on every week and they brought this up. One dude said he revisited it and it didn't hold up at all and called it a 4/10 and another said he watched it two weeks ago and said 8/10 watch at your own risk
Maybe you ought to revisit it. I was 8 when I watched Glengarry Glen Ross and I liked it a lot less then than I do now
Amazing Spider-Man 3 should have still happened, not this Homecoming garbage. ASM2 had its issues but the 3rd movie could have easily resolved those. I hated Skyrim, Red Dead Redemption, & Dark Souls.
