It really isn't. There's good/fine songs on there and even if it were as a whole good the idea that it's album of the year is baffling. This year is just stacked with fantastic albums.
So, not to evoke a boring, tired concept, but like… you do realize people are talking highly subjectively when they say “album of the year”? Like, lol, come on.
When you're bored and Chorus.fm isn't cutting it, TV Tropes is a fun read. I always go there after I ingest a new anime or game or whatever, to see if there are any fun tidbits I missed or if there's something I didn't pick up on. And sometimes I find new stuff from it.
Yuck their yum seems to have mostly originated in trying not to prejudice children in their food tastes because you don’t enjoy something. Which, given what pop culture discourse has become, makes sense to have crossed over to adult children.
I’m envious of all of you who have just recently heard this phrase. I first heard it years ago and wish I could scrub it from my memory. Absolutely hate it even if I generally agree with the sentiment.
