Martin Lawrence rules so much. Blue streak is great.

 

I liked Blue Streak as a teen, but it didn't hold up well when I went back.

Lawrence was fine in The Beach Bum. It seems more of a problem of the roles he has picked.

 

The Martin Lawrence scene with the shark in the Beach Bum is one of the funniest things I've ever seen and he was good on his sitcom.

 

red letter media told me it was bad so now i don't have to see it.

 

Blue Streak is hilarious. I think if you watch it you’d be baffled he does not have more acting credits.

 

Movies like Blue Streak not being a thing anymore is why I don’t watch movies anymore

The loss of the mid-budget movie is truly sad. I loved these action buddy comedies in particular. Rush Hour, Blue Streak, Money Talks, Nothing to Lose all hold a special place in my heart.

 

Going to see those bad comedies at the dollar theater when I was in middle school was always fun.

 

Just watching an episode of “Martin” is more thba enough reason to see why Lawrence had a big career. He was overflowing with charisma, physicality and presence. That said, a lot of his movies didn’t utilize it right

Re: watching movies stoned. I watched Everything Everywhere All At Once on a bunch of gummies and had one of the greatest times of my life haha. Totally worth it. Did I retain any of the core message of the film? Absolutely not. Did I retain it all? Nah. Do I care? Not one bit. I just googled the plot summary after lol.

 

A friend of mine worked with Martin on College Road Trip and said he was an absolute jerk.

 

I'm not sure how much I buy the "can't be drunk and have seen the movie" when my local theater sells me Long Island Iced Teas for like $9 lol

 

Rush Hour is MVP. Blue Streak wishes it could be as good.

 

Not to excuse it, but I’m more surprised when comedians turn out to be nice.

 

I mean it's a guy who used his SNL monologue to talk about women not washing their ass haha

 

The grown up movies are good and I hope Sandler makes another one.

 

Grown Up 2 is a milestone of neo surrealism. Opening the film with a CGI moose standing and pissing all over Adam Sandler for 45 straight seconds… *chefs kiss*

 

We need more PG-13 comedies in general.

 

Not to mention this scene.

 

2 is better because they’re like fuck it we don’t really need a plot let’s just film random scenes we think are funny.
