Shows that people liked for about 15 minutes but actually kind of sucked and now no one talks about them: 1. the league
The only thing I remember from the league is a blooper where Nick Kroll pretends to be working at the restaurant they're filming at
That guy that destroyed his career by lying about being a 9/11 survivor didn't help that show's legacy too much.
“you said we were playing Central Park in New York” “I said ahhhh Central Park in Newark” that shit still cracks me up
The conversation around the Last of Us show is so guarded right now. I haven't seen people this angry about criticism or negative reactions since the early Christopher Nolan days. When it does settle down it will be interesting to talk about but people are too emotionally invested in a show being made by the guy who wrote both the Scary Movie sequels and the Hangover sequels.
I haven't seen the show so I won't criticize it. It's just that when things are even remotely good I see people saying stuff like "TV has NEVER been this good, thank God for TLOU" and stuff like that. There's a lot of things I love, but I don't go around just throwing out the word masterpiece and such. I get enjoying it, but they seem to just act as if they can do no wrong. There are a lot of communities like that I suppose.
I mean, I shouldn't care one way or another because it doesn't affect me or anything, but there's a part of me that feels like it invalidates my opinion by not liking things as much or something
I don’t even like the Office that much but I love Robert California. James Spader absolutely nails it.
Lol this is like calling David Chase the guy who wrote Grave of the Vampire and The Magician. Do better. Also, Party Down is absolutely worth it. Plus it's a quick watch.
I enjoy almost everyone on “The League” and thought it was incredibly shitty and continues to age like milk in the sun. Its creator, Jeff Schaeffer, got on the “Seinfeld” writing staff and has somehow continued to fail up from there.
Nah, league is great. More importantly, Jeff Schaffer did the screenplay for Cat In The Hat with Mike Myers so he's got a free ticket to Heaven as far as I'm concerned.
I should say his ticket to Heaven is having an in with Larry David so he’ll always have “Seinfeld” and “Curb”. But he sucks. He truly sucks. And so does “The League.”
Wow, the League went 7 seasons? I think I watched the first two and then bailed. I can't imagine it's aged well.
