It certainly is offensive, just like it was offensive when they used the deaths of Chadwick Boseman and Heath Ledger.
Ignoring tetra, the real head-scratcher in this recent barrage of posts is saying that liking a thing is being "consumer-pilled"
Sure, why not? Heath I think absolutely deserved his regardless of if he died. Chadwick was solid, but I don't know if I would have given him anything. But at the end of the day it's an award that doesn't matter so why not use it as a way to honor someone's work and life?
If you think the person deserved the award, they deserved the award. That is a different thing than using the death as a way to drive the conversation and ticket sales and everything else that goes along with it. It isn't about honoring someone's work and life, it is about enriching the people who own the film.
It’s basically sci-fi Simpsons and that’s what I’ve always loved about it. That and the voice cast is just stellar
i just think the character dynamics and how they play off each other sets it pretty far apart from the family/suburban neighborhood schtick of the simpsons
Oh it definitely does. I guess a better way to put it was it had very good writing and combined with the voice cast, it’s like the Simpsons? I don’t know how else to put that.
i mean groenig's style is distinct in that its still very much his show but i also think it justifies existing on its own rather than just being the sci fi show by the simpsons guy as its often pigeonholed into. if futurama was his only show it would be just as good i guess is what im saying.
Is it too early to say that Devs kinda sucked? Like, it was very beautifully shot, but the story itself was weak af and I hated the ending
in retrospect It was a mistake for Marvel to have Ultron in the MCU so early. Too important of villain to just be the one off baddie in one movie. They should have saved them to be the primary antagonist of a future phase a la Thanos and Kang. They could always bring them back but I think they pulled the trigger on that way too soon.
After 3 episodes I can comfortably say that 30 Rock is better than Arrested Development, Parks and Rec, and the U.S. Office.
the density of jokes on 30 Rock and how many of them land is unparalleled ,also it and The Simpsons predicted everything
