I don't think it's bad faith to state your initial argument that I disagreed with when the conversation got into the weeds.
You used the mechanations or Hollywood to support your initial argument that the like for him is infantilizing. That's not true. People are arguing against your initial argument not whatever you brought up about Hollywood.
I've seen a few episodes of Futurama and I feel like it's just okay so far. I did see the dog one first which I was v upset and traumatized by!! But aside from that the other episodes have been okay but I expected to like them more
I think you're underestimating moms, they fucking love that guy and are not tuned into whatever you're talking about.
I have seen very little Futurama but it always felt the weakest when I was young and watching the Sunday evening FOX lineup.
I'll say it, I don't like Paul Dano and I hate Emile Hirsch, and I don't why, and I know I shouldn't be this way, but I think it's just their faces and their hair.
Dano and Michelle Williams as a married couple in The Fabelamans felt really off at first because I associate those actors with being in different generations but Williams got famous at such a young age compared to most people that they actually were close enough for it to work.
Yeah. It is because Michelle Williams was playing a high schooler in Dawson's Creek when she was young enough to be in high school while Paul Dano broke out in Little Miss Sunshine when he was old enough as a high schooler to be graduating college.
I saw someone on Twitter complaining that Keoghan was too one-note but that criticism never made sense to me. If you are good at a type of role, go for it. A lot of the worst acting performances comes from people trying to do a character that doesn't fit them at all.
1. Seeing someone who overestimates their importance sling that claim to someone else is wild 2. Of all the awful shit I’ve read people say on this website, claiming that any actor in general but especially a male survivor is using their sexual assault to get a trophy is definitely top tier gross shit
Was it not clear that it was about the publicists and the studios? The conversation went on a lot longer than it had to.
The implication is that him coming out and sharing his story is anything other than him being extremely vulnerable and selfless and sharing something that could help other people
I haven’t seen anyone mention this in regard to The Whale. I’ve seen mentioning the return to acting but I haven’t seen anyone trying to “play it up” or whatever you think is happening but I find it offensive that that’s what you think is happening because people are happy that someone traumatized out of their profession has come to a place where he can act again. I haven’t seen The Whale and have no interest of seeing it. I haven’t seen anyone “using his sexual assault”
It depends what behavior you are referring to, but everyone up for major awards has to be very careful for months in every interview and talk show and precursor show because the competing publicists use whisper campaigns to defeat them. It has been that way since at least the Miramax days.
