I don’t have one remotely close to me. If my western PA ass ever takes a trip to an area with one, maybe I’ll give it a shot. Or, I could heat up a can of Campbells, put it in a thermos, and sneak it into my local Cinemark like a dang sociopath.
Fun fact, we have a chain of theaters out here that have old cushy car seats against tables and you can order full meals and drinks during your movie. Soup and spaghetti all around!
We used to have that here but they changed the car seats out a few years back or something. I used to lo e those seats!
Hell yeah Chunky's! Don't forget all the food names are movie puns, and the actual ticket prices are so cheap
The professionalisation of the podcast industry (especially post-Serial) made the medium as a whole less interesting
All the fawning and celebration over Brendan Fraser's career is nauseating. He isn't a child; he is an adult millionaire who now gets to make more millions of dollars.
Just in general. Forgive me if I'm not following properly, but it sounds like you're annoyed that people are happy for Brendan Fraser having an upturn in his career.
It's part of a marketing push. If anyone should be insulted, it would be Fraser for being talked about like a child, but he is probably fine with it as he counts the money.
I... don't think Fraser is being talked about like a child? People like rooting for people they like, either that they know personally or that do work that they like. And, he's someone who carries himself publicly in a way that makes him easy to root for, who's passionate about his craft, whose career stalled at one point in part because of being sexually assualted. Factor in a generation having nostalgia for some of his earlier work, and it's pretty obvious why a lot of people love that he's getting so much positive attention right now.
Of course it's obvious. Oscar campaigning has been around for a long time. He isn't going to go around throwing beer bottles at people and insulting everyone if he wants to win.
