Have you seen the John Wick movies?

 

I have, those are super fun and super well made for sure

 

The Mission Impossible series is better than Die Hard and Lethal Weapon.

It's probably the best action movie series out there and they're getting better with each release.

 

I love the Mission Impossible series from 3 onwards. The first two do nothing for me.

 

ah that's crazy to me haha. I ONLY love Mission Impossible 1 and the rest are...eh.

I'd say Die Hard is the king for me, for action series'. The Bourne trilogy 2nd.... and i'm not sure what would be 3. Bond? Terminator doesn't count right.

2 is the only bad one, but the other four range from good to amazing.

 

I like Mission Impossible 3 and 5.

Some action movies I like: ^^^, original Bourne Trilogy, Die Hard 1 and 3, John Wick 1 & 2, The Raid (I haven't seen The Raid 2), Mad Max: Fury Road, and let's not forget the masterpiece that is Commando haha.

 

Mission Impossible 3 is far and away the best one imo. Ethan Hunt actually feels like a human being, it has the best villian, the highest emotional stakes, best action scenes, etc.

 

Tom Cruise is the best action star for sure

 

I've never seen a Mission Impossible or Lethal Weapon film.

 

I've never seen Lethal Weapon either.

 

I also have not seen Die Hard

 

I caught MI:2 on tv some years back and absolutely hated it, wrote off the series because of that. This thread is making me reconsider, so I'm about to watch Ghost Protocol

 

You should watch 3, imo.

 

3 isn't on Hulu though, if I enjoy GP then I'll check out the rest probably

I dunno if I've ever seen an MI movie more than once, but I enjoy them enough. I'd watch 3 or 5 if they were on cable and I was flipping through the channels.

 

M:I II is not a very good M:I movie, but it's a very enjoyable John Woo movie.

 

Like the Bourne movies, M:I movies tend to be forgetable for me and I've watched them all.

And I will probably never see any Mission Impossible ones cause Tom Cruise really bugs me

 

Tom Cruise is hit or miss, at least since the turn of the century. I really liked Live Die Repeat... I mean Edge of Tomorrow. No intention of seeing The Mummy.

 

Matthew Fox on LOST is basically just six years of impersonating Tom Cruise. Often better than Cruise too.

 

Tom Cruise is one of the best actors of all time and anyone who hates on him is an idiot who cares too much about peoples' personal lives.

 

I don't care or know about Tom Cruise's personal life. He's not one of the best actors of all time by any stretch. He's one of the best action stars of all time, I'll give him that. He's rarely the best actor in any given movie.

 

Calling him one of the best actors of all time is a pretty ludicrous statement, even in a thread about unpopular opinions.

 

He is legitimately great in non-action movies Magnolia, Eyes Wide Shut, and Jerry Maguire. He puts forth excellent performances in action movies Edge of Tomorrow, Minority Report, and Collateral. That's off the top of my head. He is a very, very good actor.
