BoJack Horseman is a very recent example of something that only starts to click after a few episodes.

Ehhh.... Parks and Rec season 1 had the intro to Mouse Rat and Duke Silver. It was on the upswing by the end.

I get it. I did that with post-season one "My Name is Earl" because my roommate liked it. Was not worth it.

  4. Bojack is definitely the show that started the whole “one season” theory for me haha. Even posted about it multiple times in that thread. If you like season one you’ll probably dig what the rest has to offer, but if not then the rest will probably not convert you

It was around the Princess Caroline episode that I really bought in, I think that was episode 7 or so of season 1. But there was good stuff before it too, Bojack’s argument with the Navy Seal seal was pretty early

  6. I would argue schitts creek doesn't become good/excellent until the season 2 finale. From there it's full steam ahead. And yeah that's a lot to ask of someone to stick with it when there's so much other stuff to watch.

Books are better than plays, though.

13 Reasons was awful. I couldn’t make it past two or three episodes. The writing was some of the worst I’ve ever experienced in my life.

Come to think of it, Parks & Rec is something I'll never revisit and should stay put in the Obama years as a fond memory of a sitcom. I don't think I'd be able to stomach it now

Recently rewatched it and enjoyed it but every time it showed actual politicians I was like ehhhh this kinda sucks

I haven't really done a legit rewatch since it ended. Think I'm just gonna let that one rest.

There are certainly things that haven’t aged well. It’s still a top-tier sitcom to me.

Parks and Rec still phenomenal. People who watch older art with the demand that it still suit the current moment are foolish.

My little sister's best friend won't watch anything from before she was born, which is the year 2000. She refuses. I've been holding that knowledge in for so long and I feel like this thread is an outlet to unload someone else's unpopular opinion because i cant carry this burden alone
