As someone born and raised in Tampa, you wouldn't catch me on the beach anywhere near 1-4pm. That's peak misery. 10a-1p at the beach, ice cream, switch to the pool.
The neo-western genre needs to take like a 10-15 year break. Like there are other genres Taylor Sheridan, go write a procedural legal thriller or a buddy action comedy or something. Even John Ford didn't just make westerns.
At first I didn't think I knew who Taylor Sheridan was, then I looked him up and he's Danny Boyd from Veronica Mars. That's all I really needed to know, had no clue he was acting but an actor much less co-creator of one of the biggest shows atm
I actually did try to watch that. Did not like it and couldn't make it past episode 1. Had no idea that was a Sheridan project.
Also when it comes to neo-western movies Taylor Sheridan wrote Hell Or High Water and Wind River >>>>>>>>> Sicario.
Sicario is great, but Hell or High Water and Wind River are both a cut above. I think I give Wind River the slight edge, but they are both phenomenal movies. I didn't really like his movie with Angelina Jolie as a firefighter protecting a kid from getting killed by the game of thrones guy during a big fire though.
Inglourious Basterds was this century. Haven’t seen Wind River but most 21st century westerns, neo or otherwise, leave me cold. Nope was a good one.
I'm gonna get roasted for this one but James Bond is the few franchises I just could never get into. I was more of a Hunt For Red October kid than a Goldeneye kid I guess.
James Bond is a blight on culture. With so much talk about representation and accountability, it confounds that a character based on racist, sexist, and colonialist views of the postwar world is still being adapted.
Currently watching Patriot Games. I don't care about their bad politics, 90's neo-con action thrillers starring Harrison Ford fucking rocked
Goldeneye, Nightfire, and Agent Under Fire are incredible games. I like a couple of the Bond films but MI >>>>
