I'm pretty neutral on the "Die Hard is a Christmas movie" argument, which I feel is very unpopular because people usually only argue vehemently for one way or the other
I feel like it is, despite the fact that it came out in the summer, but I also don't really think it's that important.
But...but...you consume so much pop culture. And Die Hard is one of the most referenced things in pop culture. Does not compute. Does not comp-
It's referenced so often that if you make it to 20 and still haven't seen it, there's really no need because you've consumed all the important bits of the movie through pop culture anyway
I binge watched Die Hard 1-4 last year for the first time and very much enjoyed 1 and 3. Not gonna watch 5.
Die Hard With A Vengeance is the best of the series. You don't need to bother watching Die Hard 2: Die Harder.
I haven't either tbh. Im sure I've seen bits and pieces while my dad was watching it but I've never sat down and watched it
So many of the best movies are action movies though! The Rock, T2, True Lies, Total Recall, and unpopular but Faceoff!
I used to say that I didn't like action movies but I just wasn't watching any good ones, turns out. Edit: however, I definitely approach action movies differently than I do other genres. Like, I sort of turn my brain off for actual movies. I'm just looking for likable characters and good choreography.
I love movies and would never discount a whole genre, it's just action is definitely the one I frequent the least
