If they would have let arrested development die after the first 3 seasons I’d say that. I watched season 4 and it was terrible so I never bothered with the rest.
I think Curb is great the whole way through. 10 and 9 were two of my favourite seasons. I think Sunny has definitely fallen in quality over the past couple of seasons. Still good.
Bob’s Burgers has sustained quality. Parks and Rec starts dicey in S1 but then sustains quality through the rest of the show.
I disagree, the new showrunner did a good job at exploring who the characters are and their personal lives. I enjoyed the further character development
I can’t get into cartoon shows at all anymore. I’ve tried to watch bob’s burger’s, Rick and morty, Bojack etc and I’ll watch an episode or 2 and never feel like coming back to it. No idea why.
I thought that when it aired live, tbh, but watching it as a whole after the fact it feels much more of-a-piece to me, even with the jump into basically sci-fi.
besides early Bob's Burgers that has some weird ableist and transphobic episodes Bob's Burgers is great I think having burnout for any sitcom is inevitable, only so many experiences the characters can have, it's nice when sitcoms last like 5 seasons
Bob’s had a rocky start and I think there was a small dip in quality a couple seasons back, but for the most part that show doesn’t really miss
“Parks and Rec” started spinning its tires its penultimate season (especially the pointlessness of Tom and Anne getting together). But got better with the time jump. “Arrested Development” got bad with the Charlize Theron “She’s actually slow!” storyline.
Before learning Aziz was an awful person, I was happy to see Tom and Anne getting together. I think giving your characters a happy ending is a great way to end a beloved series (unless it's a show of terrible people like Veep) Edit I'm dumb, thought you meant who he ends up with in the final season (I forget her name). Tom/Anne Perkins was a waste of time for sure. But that wasn't in the penultimate season
think always sunny is pretty much perfect. arrested development got better every season for the first three imo, and then the reboot was a notch below but not awful. Seinfeld of course is also pretty much flawless. the whole run, though the first two and last two seasons are a bit rougher
People on the old forum were so mad when I criticized the fourth season of Arrested Development, but history has absolved me.
Damn, I guess it's an unpopular opinion that I really liked The Simpsons Movie lol. It's been years since I've seen it though
