Man, I love entertainment.

 

Big bang theory isn't as bad as people think. My wife loves it and how I met your mother and I used to make fun of her. But how I met your mother has its moments but I think big bang theory is much much funnier. Maybe I'm getting old

 

I hated the very little that I saw but I bet 98% of the people who incessantly hate on it haven’t seen more than one season of it, max.

i've seen more TBBT than i'd like to admit and yes it's garbage. we're better off with it in the rearview

See i used to be like you guys but there's just enough decent one line zingers that idk. I don't mind it. Its simple comedy sure but eh I'm not mad when I watch it.

Network sitcoms in general are such a cesspool. It is a miracle when the odd show here or there breaks out of that mold and becomes something meaningful.

 

What is even the last multi-cam sitcom to become a huge hit? I have no idea why they even still make them

 

Because they’re the biggest comedy shows on television and have been for decades? Lol

I don’t mind TBBT. It’s simple fun and works great as background noise. Some scenes have me dying though, like when they want to get kids into comics so they’re gonna get a van and drive around and pick up kids lol stupid stuff like that always gets me.

also super bizarre fact: one guy directed 244 of the 279 episodes of the show. That’s crazy and I feel like something that doesn’t usually happen outside of TV shows from the 60’s - 80’s since people usually jump around so much.

I don't think any of us can quite grasp how many people watch shows like Mom haha

 

Until the above post, I had no idea a show called Mom even existed haha. And it’s been on for 8 years?? I was kinda with @tdlyon, but if something like that can fly under my radar then I definitely concede to just being extremely out of the loop. Had no clue that format was still so popular

 

Everything that’s on CBS has been on for 5+ years, you’ve probably never heard of it and like 10-15 million people watch it each week.

 

Mulaney and Me Myself & I were the only two I paid attention to, I assumed since those failed it probably just wasn’t a popular format anymore. Wild

 

Mom isn't good, but they have such a cast of pros (Faris, Janney, Pressley, Fichtner, Weber, etc.) that it's actually fairly watchable and has some undemanding laughs.
