Colorado is pretty close to midwest, I can see how it could easily be confused between mid and south west

 

Eastern Colorado can be the midwest. Coloradians don't want it anyway

midwest runs from as far southwest as kansas up to north dakota and over to michigan and ohio. stop it.

 

Regardless of the number of states above or below Colorado, it is very clearly toward the center of the map with how tall New Mexico is. I realize it's still not technically considered midwest though

 

Ohio is just a shit hole, doesn’t count as Midwest.

"Ironic" Christmas sweaters and/or matching pajamas are some of the most nauseating trends of the modern era.

 

I too hate fun.

 

Ugly christmas sweaters are just like christmas music. Most of the year, it is obnoxious. But for one month, they are fun.

 

There is a difference between wearing sweaters because you like them and wearing them because you think it is funny that other people like them.

 

yeah the ironic aspect is kinda mean, like someone's grandma knitted them a sweater with love and they were like lol that's hilarious everyone check this out

When it gets below 60 degrees Floridians use it as an excuse to unleash all of their winter clothing. One of my coworkers was wearing gloves in the 50s.

 

It gets in the teens here and I couldn’t tell you where my pair of gloves are right now.

 

My wife, my son, and I wear matching pajamas on Xmas Eve. Hating a family thing like that is sad imo.

 

Does anyone really "ironically" wear a sweater that was meant to look good for an ugly sweater party? Any that I've attended involved people with sweaters that were purposely made ugly from a Walmart, or people created their own ugly sweaters by gluing weird shit to them lol. I've never seen someone grab Grandma's hand knit masterpiece that took her 6 months to make or something

And matching PJs are the shiiit. My family gets new ones every year

Who am I mocking when I buy a sweater with a drunk Santa on the front of it with me hot gluing some tinsel and flashing lights all over when everyone else attending the party is on the same page?

 

The whole trend started as a mockery of old family photos with awkward, ill-fitting, or otherwise bizarre sweaters.
