Sandals provide the protection from stepping on something uncomfortable while also being unencumbered from the oppression of a shoe. You can also slip them off and on.
Nope. both are true. Definitely went to college classes barefoot sometimes. Or hotel slippers cause my friend's father was the chef at the Doubletree and would grab us slippers.
Nah, I just didn't wear shoes a lot. None of my friends did. It became a thing at the high school. One time I wore shoes with no soles just to have the illusion of shoes. THAT was rebellion.
I can also slip my sneakers on and off. And in a way that doesn't happen so easily that I trip over random shit and scrape my toenails off
Maybe it’s just living in a major metropolitan area but I would not like to wear footwear that leaves me susceptible to getting my foot cut on broken glass
Yeah living in Detroit and Chicago I nearly never go outside without actual shoes. Even when I lived in LA I wore shoes. Mostly skate shoes but even on 120 degree days in LA making coffee runs on foot I never thought “man my feet are sweaty and uncomfortable”
I have an array of footwear. My toes are exposed when I sleep, shower, or am at the beach. Otherwise in the house it is socks or slippers. Outside, sneakers or boots. Sperrys in the summer or a lowtop dress sneaker. Desert Boots or other boots in the winter. Slip on dress shoes to work
The Sperry dress shoe that I wear is the most comfortable dress shoes I’ve ever owned Are you an anomaly there or is everyone piggies out?
