Soda > alcohol. Wine and beer taste bad and you have to add other things (including soda) to make liquor acceptable.
It depends on the sauce. Some bbq are just Sweet Baby Rays and not homemade, and some hot are just Franks
Ok granted I've only seen two of his other films (Blue Velvet & Mulholland Drive) but I just watched Lost Highway and thought it was Lynch's best I've seen so far by quite a lot. First 45 minutes were absolutely perfect filmmaking
I feel like for a lot of film bros it was probably the only one of their favorites directed by a woman so they’re quick to cite it now.
It gives me serious joy that she directed Wayne's World and the Decline of Western Civilization movies. That alone is a career.
Every time beer is accurately described as disgusting someone will say that you have to get used to it. I don't want to get used to something disgusting. Alcohol sales went up during quarantine but I have only drank once since March 18.
This could be applied to more than just beer of course but, had a friend who was a total dumbass and most people, I hope, wouldn’t do this, but a friend once started to drink a certain beer (idk which) because... idk why, and he said quote, “I hated it at first but after six months it wasn’t so bad and now I like it, wouldn’t drink anything else”. that’s... that’s not how anyone should do anything lol what a waste of time and money and mental energy lol
There are plenty of things I was wrong about liking/not liking at first and then further reflection and revisiting helped my feelings evolve. but beer and other alcohols are good
Not sure when it happened but I definitely drink for taste now and not to get drunk. Maybe when I was 26 or so.
I don’t drink, but that’s mostly because I grew up with a family & peer group that wasn’t into drinking & didn’t have a desire to seek it out. I’m now I think the only person in my peer group who doesn’t drink at all, but I’m in my early 30s, so I don’t feel super motivated to start now.
