So i havent kept up with these interviews cause there are too many, but is this Define tour speculation or confirmed/spoken about by the band?
Not confirmed but strongly hinted at. They'll probably make an announcement soon, I don't remember when the Chasing Safety one started being teased
I roll my eyes at the nostalgia plays these days but after how tired I am of TOCS I’m pretty stoked for it. Wonder how they’ll decide the post-album songs. Deep cut roulette??
they'd never do it, but they should put a cap of like 2 songs each from TOCS & DTGL in their setlist. this lineup of the band has 7 albums of material to grab from that the majority of them were on. gives them an opportunity to play some deep cuts and maybe get people excited about some other records besides those two.
I would probably bite of a define tour. Anything from define on id be psyched to see live. I loved the observatory stream of safety, but if I never heard a song from that album again I’d feel just fine.
It should be well within the cards to do a hometown show or short run of LITSOS and Disambig album playthroughs. Or a deep cut set. Or a stream. Or smoke signal.
As much as I like DTGL, I did see them play it through on the Rebirth tour. Feels like a while ago, but I am desperate to see some of the Voyeurist songs live (and the new album I guess)
I went to the Rebirth tour and it’s in my top 5 shows. Hearing both albums in one night was something
I was helping out at fests during the erase me run and it was pretty incredible. Also saw the arena show anberlin opened. I gave up, on my teeth, and especially no frame were outstanding to see live. Crowds were hyped and the band were having a blast. lol an anniversary tour would be lame though.
I flew in for this show! Mainly for the Anberlin aspect. Got to see the secret Anberlin show the night before and then the lineup of DGD, Anberlin, and UO was just too perfect for me at the time. Looking back, I think the Erase Me songs were decent but the other two post reunion albums are better.
That show is definitely top 10 and possibly top 5 for me. I think The farewell show with ACB, Letlive, and MWY edges out the Tampa show, but damn that one was special. I agree Erase me is probably the weakest of the post reunion albums objectively, but I have a soft spot for it because of how it hit me and how many times I caught a set during that run. I also have a really fond memory of seeing the On My Teeth video for the first time. What a rad reintroduction with that drum part from Aaron.
