Really hope they offer all of these as a download in the future. Including the teased Erase Me and Disambig. PS, does ANYONE have a video clip of 10 Friends?!!? I fully plan on buying the last broadcasts once Erase Me and Disambig are confirmed.
Disambiguation is most likely my favorite UØ record, although I’ve been on a HUGE LITSOS kick lately, so I’m incredibly hyped to see them play it and PLZ REPRESS IT BOYS! Also; obligatory “Erase Me is a solid record stop hating” post.
maaaaaaaaaaan whyyyyyy did Aaron feel it necessary to sing "I always knew you were such a sucker for that whore" lmao IT WAS GOOD THAT IT DID NOT MAKE THE RECORD !!!!
Wait, he sang it for the livestream? Could’ve sworn I recently heard him say he was glad it didn’t make it on the record in hindsight.
I mean they did also release an acoustic version of it not too long ago where they sang it in that too so idk *shrug*
I just listened to the rebroadcast now and it kind of sounded like he said "hoe" but I wanna say he was more just trying to cut it short instead of saying hoe. But I can confirm he says it on the acoustic version they released last year for Punk Goes Acoustic Vol 3, honestly forgot all about that until you mentioned it. Pretty disappointing.
That is pretty disappointing, I know Spencer said recently that he hated the lyrics on TOCS but felt they owed it to the fans to play the album
Matt Good: I think it would be absolutely insane to be anything but flattered when people still ask to hear songs I wrote when I was 19 Spencer Chamberlain: oh yeah, we called our compilation album Play Your Old Stuff as a middle finger to those people LMFAO.
yeah, what?? he had a whole thing recently too where he admitted it almost made the record and was glad it didn’t, right? that caught me super off guard
This week was fun! Haven’t listened to TOCS in forever and forgot how much I loved a few of those songs. Aspiring and Receptive went off, amped about them playing Crowbar too. They were the perfect band to experiment with streaming shows like this, it’s perfect for their industrial-tech vibe and I like that there wasn’t a lot of fourth wall interaction.
just a weird/dumb/bad decision and not one I think actually reflects where the band is at now, more so I think it's some weird attempt at fan service or something idk. it's unfortunate but I am still gonna watch (and surely enjoy) the streams. also, got the vimeo downloader extension to work for the DGTL and LITSOS streams but not for TOCS if anyone wants to help me out there
Yeah, Underoath changed video players, probably to prevent people from downloading lol. I think you can look up an HLS stream downloader chrome extension. Haven't tried it
I wish there had been an extra 10 bucks per show to get a download of the stream. I for one would have paid that and probably others would to.
Chris was on a Podcast today and said they have plans to do more than just shows with this Observatory thing. Maybe it will be a subscription service with a library of video content including these shows?
Still can't decide if I want to pay to see LITSOS. I didn't get into that as much as DTGL just because I started listening to different music, but always loved A Fault Line and a few others At this point I feel like I might as well, I already paid for the other two heh
Good to hear! I saw Aaron saying that one was hard because they hadn't played it in years, and I think I saw someone in here say Spencer sounded more consistent in the DTGL stream so I didn't know what to expect
