LITSOS is my favorite album. It doesn’t hold my favorite songs, but front to back it’s just a solid album. It’s a constant battle between DTGL and LITSOS.
It’s not my favorite record but at the end of the day it is probably their lyrical peak. What I’d give to hear metalcore lyrics like that again.
I think disambiguation is easily the lyrical peak but I also relate to the alienation of substance abuse more than the abandonment of a god I never believed in to begin with but LITSOS is pretty close
Is that what their lyrics are about in erase me and Voyeurism? I’m assuming the lyrics on the newer albums probably reflect more of Spencer’s view of religion in his present state.
i remember Spencer saying that Erase Me also acted as a "break-up with drugs" album from what he said in the album's making of documentary
Mentions that the making of the new album was the strongest that all of the guys have felt towards each other since DTGL, lots of fun making it, currently being mastered, not sure on release date due to TOCS 20th anniversary
With that tour on the way, I'm expecting an early 2025 release then, with probably a couple singles in the fall beforehand
Gave Disambiguation a listen yesterday for the first time in a while. Dude’s vocals are absolutely otherworldly. Probably between that and LITSOS as their best album for me.
I haven’t listened to TOCS in forever, and I’m not sure I want to. I almost want to let that sit in my nostalgia bank and remember it for what it was. My first memories of it are riding in the back of the car with my parents while they took me to hang out with my first girlfriend in middle school, haha.
Legitimately might not listen before then and then let my next listen of the studio album remind me of the FF set.
I feel like there isn't an album cycle that goes by with these guys where they don't talk at least a little bit about what an arduous process it was making the previous album with everyone.
After Voyuerist, I’m incredibly excited for whatever comes next. Would love to see it announced by September but that’s a tall order.
Hyped Spencer is so excited for the new record. I like the sound of “it hasn’t been this easy and fun to make music since define”
Almost certain the new album will be early 2025. I really am curious to hear the Voyeurist 2.0 album that was scrapped. Supposedly the one new demo of Spencer going nutso is making it on the new album. They played the demo at the meet and greets a year or so ago
disambiguation sounds like the lowest of the low the band has ever been and it’s my favorite so I feel you
Reaaaally would love to hear a Voyeurist 2.0 record as well. Hopefully, this new record is even better.
