    Limewire. I really screwed up my brother’s computer due to that. He thought I had gone to some bad porn sites, and I had to tell him I was making a Warped Tour playlist.

    The “I’ve been swallowed up alive” riff in Everyone Looks So Good From Here is crazy heavy and one of my favorite moments in DTGL.

    Not as embarrassing as his Forgetting Sarah Marshall wallpaper

    With all the disambiguation talk I think most people see safety to lost as the golden run but personally I'd take Disambiguation over safety every day as the best trilogy of records from them. I get the nostalgia connection to safety and I will put it on from time to time but Disambiguation is a genius wild ride from the band. Loved Spencer being the sole vocalist and from the interviews, podcasts, and album convos seems like Daniel, Tim, and Chris were in the driver's seat of the direction of that one. Would have loved one more full release with Daniel in the band. Love that he brought riffs on Disambiguation and Low Teens that made it on the record. Deteriorating Incline was such a rad thrashy track that is not like anything else they have ever done. Every time I put Disambiguation on I am blown away.

    Define = pre apocalypse

    Disambiguation = post apocalypse

    It's a terrific trilogy of records. It all holds together stylistically and Aaron missing in Disambiguation just adds to the desolate feel of that record.

  8. Do we know which riffs or parts Daniel contributed to on both Disambiguation and Low Teens?

    I think he wrote most if not all of C++.

    Respect. I took a couple of courses for C++ in college and I'd honestly rather die than program, so I give props to anyone who does that for a living.

    This is a joke.

    C++ on low teens and the riff for Decline on Disambiguation. He did more on both but those are two songs he brought to the bands as a riff.

    There's an ETID pudcast around the time of Low Teens releasing the big man gets into it, and then Underoath did those covid album playthroughs on twitch and youtube. They talk about it on the Disambiguation episode.

  12. Oh right the Decline bit sounds familiar. Those streams are now old but I vaguely remember Daniel and Tim talking about it

    Loved those streams. UO won the COVID era music pivot. Observatory, Live visual album drop months before the release, and a deep dive on every album. The one about Erase me ruled with all the hot dish about trying to make it happen with feldman and bailing because it didn't feel true to UO. (love feldman but would have been bummed on a underoath record produced by him. Also Matt Goldman being a legendary scene producer and not knowing how to get the camera to work/needing to bail early because his kid needed the laptop for homework was so funny.

  14. I know they had to go back to wrapping up Voyeurist and then touring ramped up again, but I still wish they'd done Observatory livestreams for Disambiguation and Erase Me.

    someone asked em on some platform not too long ago if we’d get them and Spencer said with the return of touring they don’t have time or something like that, like you said. But idk, feel like 1-2 virtual shows at some point would be reasonable given how nostalgia-heavy their sets are these days. Throw us a deep cut bone here!

    “If Jesus Christ returns we’ll kill that fucker twice” good grief, we get it, you used to be Christian and love writing edgy lyrics now.

    I sort of take that line to mean society at large will “just” (that word being included is very important imo) do the same thing they did the first time and kill him again. the use of the word fucker makes it a little needlessly inflammatory but I don’t think it’s as edgy as it seems when it comes to the actual meaning

    anyway I actually really enjoyed that song

  21. It's a BMTH song, of course it's going to be edgy haha
    Glad to see the two bands collab though, I'm surprised it took this long after their tour.

    They teased it at the end of the Lost live stream. I was bummed it never happened too.

    Aaron posted a really mean DM from a fan about selling out on the new song. Usually musicians posting about that irks me but that one got me. Wild people would still even use that of language in the age of features, co-writes, and collaborations. I love that Rock music isn't so stingey with features. Haven't listened to the song yet, and it probably wont be my favorite thing they have done but I think it is awesome Aaron and Spencer have been able to collaborate with such big bands.

    that DM was honestly on the tamer side of the criticism they're bound to get for the song (see: pissed Evangelicals complaining about Spencer's line). song's tight though.

    The song is actually pretty rad. I think BMTH is awesome but they are not for me. I was pleasantly surprised by that song. I am sure it will get a live debut with Spencer and Aaron and I hope they get a pro shot version.
