UØ killed it in SF tonight. Great set list—about a third of the songs we’re off Voyeurist. Glad to see their new material get lots of love.
Yeah I'm confused also lol. This is my preferred version of the album and I'm glad we have an official release now.
glad everyone gets to hear the digital ghost version of Pneumonia, maybe one of my favorite tracks they’ve ever written.
I hate how some of the intros/interludes are removed from what they were in the livestream such as the intro to We’re All Gonna Die, the ending of Damn Excuses, the very beginning of Thorn is even cut short - stuff like that. I also hate that instead of letting it all flow from song to song like they did during the live stream - they just tried to make it sound exactly like the record with clean/abrupt breaks. The overall vibe of the livestream doesn’t feel fully present because of these removals. I have an audio rip of the livestream and I’ll just play that but the rip is just one long track cause idk what I’m doing lol
Just had the unfortunate stumbling upon of Aaron being on a song with Jonny Craig and some band that just came out today, not the most shocking with recent stuff but still sucks to see.
Not surprising considering Chris guested alongside Jonny on a shitty hip hop song a while back too. Just can't wrap my head around these guys being buddies with POS like him and Ronnie Radke and reconciling that with how I perceived them up until this year or pre-hiatus.
I was curious about this so I went investigating and I can't find any song using Google or Spotify that has both Aaron and Jonny Craig on it?
Okay, I found that one, but I saw Craig was on a song called "Buried" and didn't see his name on "Day By Day", so I assumed that wasn't it. Edit: Yeah, I can't find any indication that Craig is on this song. You sure you're not conflating the two songs?
Oh then it could be that Spotify fucked up and listed him on every song on the EP instead of just being on the one, hmm. Or if you wanted to be more pessimistic, the band/label tried to game some listens for the EP by slapping his name on the whole thing so people would be more likely to listen to it lol I didn't listen to the song because I didn't want to support Jonny Craig, but maybe now I should to check if he's really not on the song, and if so sorry for the false alarm!
Which isn't to say there's not some disappointment in him being involved with a band who is also involved with Craig. Although to truly be fair to everyone, it looks like this band and Craig are on the same label, so maybe it wasn't even their call.
Being on the same label as an artist never has, and never will, force someone to do a whole album collaboration with another artist.
I mean plus there is the stuff with James and they doubled down on their association with Ghostmane whatever his name after the allegations
