damn, they get into some real shit on this lol. I was kinda taken aback by how honest Tim was about some of that shit
Yeah, that tip-toeing around was so extremely present on Erase Me and I could never put my finger on what was missing. Them “phoning it in” sounds exactly like what happened and they needed to break the mold and really break themselves down and I think it really shines through on Voyeurist
Man, this is going to be an awesome documentary. The brutal honesty from that first episode is so breathtakingly needed from bands.
Yeah, that doc is excellent, though this band has always been really good at this behind the scenes kind of stuff. It’s really interesting to hear them all talk about Erase Me in hindsight. I really wonder how much they’ll play from it going forward.
Yeah, I've thought the same about how much those songs will get played live again. Makes me really happy I caught them in 2018 and heard my two favs from that album "No Frame" and "I Gave Up" live. The synth in the interlude of "No Frame" was incredible. I think they'll keep one song in the set list. Interested seeing which one it ends up being if they do keep one.
I've always loved behind the scenes stuff and only expected that video to be a quick 10 mins thing. Wish more bands would put out such in depth making of videos.
that BTS was overall an enjoyable watch but some of that detail seemed overwrought. 20ish minutes of them talking about how remarkable it was that they self-produced? hmmmm still looking forward to seeing more
(oddly I remember this quote but never responded) Yeah I should be at the Tabernacle Show. Going with 2 of my friends. And now that some FF bands are announced I def want to be able to catch AOF if nothing else.
I've got tickets to both, but will be waiting on wave 2/3 to commit to FF. I'm going to UO with my cousin and her boyfriend. First time I ever bought balcony seats there-know I'm getting old, haha.
Watching the Making Of Episode 0 thing right now and I couldn't help but stop by here once I surprisingly noticed footage from Tired Violence. Anyone remember this? It even used to be on YouTube in broken multiple parts and I think I watched it a couple months before Erase Me came out. That documentary was so raw and honest, and I'm glad they kept those qualities for Get Over It and this new doc.
yeah I remember Tired Violence being super sad, but honest and really balanced about all the shit they went through as a band too. I really have respect for these guys for always putting themselves out there even when it's suuuper raw stuff
The balcony is the move there now. Especially going solo as I have a couple of the last few times I've been. It's so easy to get a front row balcony spot when its just you! Heck I saw UO there from the balcony the last time when they did their anniversary shows.
I think the last time I was in the balcony was in 2008 when I took a breather between Thrice and Rise Against as Alkaline Trio played. It really changes the vibe, though. I was on the floor for Rebirth. What a show.
"get him here, get two bottles of wine, get 8 beers, lets turn the lights off, and lets turn protools up loud" lol WAT
I listen to this shit so loud in my car I feel like I'm gonna blow my busted ass speakers haha. I'd listen with a set of air pods but again, I would want to listen too loud and I'd be the idiot who doesn't hear the siren and move over.
