I don’t understand why they haven’t done a tour for LITSOS. AFAIK, that album is part of the “best era” lineup that people across the board tend to appreciate.
I have straight up never heard of any of these outside of Codeseven and Eighteen Visions - anybody recommend anything by the rest that I should dig into?
This is the first I’ve heard about P.O.S. since he was outed as an abuser in 2020. Don’t know how I feel about them having him open.
Probably a heavy focus on the most commercially successful records I would assume. I think they would get a massive crowd pop if they did LITSOS and Disambiguation. Thrice and Mewithoutyou seemed to be doing just fine with record after record as contemporary bands with a similar aging fanbase.
That sucks to hear being that I think LITSOS is the final phase of that era. It stands shoulder-to-shoulder with DTGL and TOCS
I highly recommend To Speak Of Wolves if you're into the Define The Great Line - LITSOS - Disambiguation run . It's led by Spencer's brother who plays drums in the band. Spencer also features in one of their songs.
everyone in here would probably like kaonashi. francis doom is a new project from the singer of owel, really theatrical/cinematic indie rock
given that we didn’t get the observatory stream and the fan vote setlist is largely just going to generate current and past set staples, some sort of olive branch to the disambig (heck even LITSOS) crowd seems warranted!
Really hate the reality that the avg normie UO fan will probably vote for Writing on the Walls & In Regards to Myself for these fan sets
I don't know how the voting works but if I was in the US I'd only be voting for Alone In December. A wasted vote if ever there was one.
Fan voted setlist was weak. All singles minus the bonus song for safety. Hoping for deep cuts. Curious if every night it’s the same songs for the most part.
I could go the rest of my life without seeing writing on the walls again. Give me ALL of the deep cuts for Tampa night 1.
Was considering scooping tickets for some cool encore sets, but i’ll probably pass and wait for the tour pushing the new record
I definitely would want to see some Disambiguation tracks, but I'm not mad about 10 Friends and When the Sun Sleeps. Those were two of my favorite songs when I first got into them... 20 years ago.
I've only seen them once, way back in 2007, before I was even a fan. So I don't mind at all if they play Writings on the Wall or Regards to Myself at my date. But also hoping to see some love for LITSOS and Disambiguation. Really pissed that I never got an email to vote for the CT show. Also not too thrilled with this set only being 15 songs.
