Oh I dig this. I get why it didn’t make the cut. Sounds like it would belong better on the last record. I’d love if we got a record with Tim and Chris steering the ship creatively. All my favorite songs post reunion have heavy programmed elements or get pretty dirty guitar- wise. Spencer and Aaron left to their own devices has been explored quite a bit since they got back together. I’d love for them to lean into the other side of the creative output. That being said TPATO was the best version of the poppier songwriter side of things.
I ordered the TOCS logo hoodie a week ago and it still hasn’t shipped. Has anyone here encountered delays with the online store? edit: nvm. The Shop app simply wasn’t updating
Can't stop revisiting that demo. A future album that builds on that, No Frame and Voyeurist's highlights (Thorn, Pneumonia) would be perfect
This passed me by when this demo surfaced, so posting here in case others missed it. An early demo for what became Reinventing Your Exit with Dallas.
Like that one’s vibe more tbh. Reinventing has always been a really awkward song to me and I never got the love for it besides it being a poppier/more accessible sound.
YOU CAN SEE THE ROOOOOOOSEEEES STOP DIGGING MY GRAAAAAVE ROOOOOSEEEEES STOP DIGGIN MY GRAAAAAVE YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH maybe this band just needs to drop an album of old demos lol
Vacant Mouth, My Deteriorating Incline and In Completion. It often changes but I always go back to one of those three. That album was on another level and had such a big influence on me. An all time favorite for sure.
whole album is perfect to me, i lean more litsos these days but disam is def the album closest to my heart, super formative for me when i was younger
Whole album but I will say the last 45 seconds of Who Will Guard The Guardians where it just absolutely explodes with energy after a pretty chill bridge is my favorite section of any Underoath song
Scratch that, how about A Divine Eradication. That punk section always makes me believe I'm suddenly in a mosh pit
Catch Myself for me. That album is special for me in a sense that it's not my favorite, but was my first full album introduction to the band. I had known the main singles and songs from the previous 3 albums, but this was one where I was excited to give a band the full album playthrough. It kinda defines the soundtrack to my year in college and I distinctly remember falling asleep to this album on the bus ride back from a swim meet. So many great tracks on it. It showcased their heavier side and I often times wish they'd go back to those elements.
just got the cd of this and someone should have warned me that its one of those oversized square digisleeves that doesnt fit into my storage system lmao
iirc, i don't think they've done a jeweled case release since Erase Me. Voyeurist was also a digipak, and everything else they've done since their reformation has either been vinyl or digital only
I can never get myself into Disambiguation. I feel like I always just want to hop back to LITSOS, it's just such a 10/10 for me.
