Underoath - The Place After This One (March 28, 2025) Album

Discussion in 'Music Forum' started by Crisp X, Dec 5, 2024.

  1. They're about to release the third single and a fourth song was accessible by scanning a QR code at recent shows, so I figured it was time to jump to a new thread. Title and release date are to be revealed, but the acronym for the former supposedly stands for The Place After This One and Spencer alluded to a March release date. More info to come.

Spencer is saying GNS is their heaviest track in a while, but I’d argue the song they were promoting with the scan code at the shows is 10x heavier than this

  19. Don't think this is getting announced tomorrow, else the details would be up on Apple Music NZ already with the song out?

I like that I can two step to this

  21. They shared a studio snippet of the upbeat part on their private instagram thing (idk what that's called) and that has to be the fastest they've gotten on a song since Disambiguation? I'm thinking of My Deteriorating Incline.

I bet the announcement comes with another song after tour is over next week. From the brief clip and quick listen of the live new single seems like similar song choices to the erase me singles (Generation= On My Teeth, Survivors Guilt = Rapture) but they’re releasing in the order they are psyched on with Teeth as a middle fingers up anything is possible ethos. IMO this will be the best record since reforming and we’re in for some treats. Still waiting for THE album that makes us feel like they’re reaching the heights of Define, Lost, and Disambiguation but feeling really good about this one as a step in the right direction with a really interesting and fresh point of view. Stoked to hit play tomorrow.

Curious about the album art. Love the art direction so far minus Survivors guilt video being exceedingly silly to me.

    Star me up.

I have no expectations anymore about this album. I thought they were going one way, then they went a different direction, and now I just have no idea where to place this mentally. Bring it on and blow me away!

Also dislike how we'll already have heard 1/4 of this album already.

This loud, blown out kind of production from them is going to take me a while to get used to. It's clouding my thoughts on the studio version right now, just like it did on And Then There Was Nothing.
