Yeah I gave Voyeurist another chance this week and I still don't click with any of it aside from "Cycles." I loved Erase Me upon release but it hasn't stood the test of time for me very well. I'm always eager to hear more, but my expectations are tepid at this point.
one thing has been consistent with Underoath since the beginning: they don't make the same album twice. Define The Great Line to Lost in the Sound of Separation was the least amount of change between two records IMO. Everything else involved a significant shift in style. I don't expect this record to sound like any of the previous records.
i just loved ‘thorn’. i am not expecting anything so we’ll see what they have to say. hopefully, they work on the lyrics.
