I wish they had said it was a label showcase and were only playing for twenty minutes...

It was initially going to be not open to the public at all. Spencer said they were in Chicago for "a bunch of different reasons". They played three new songs and three old songs, IIRC. Basic merch, nothing exciting -- all of it had the angel thing from the album cover. They had a "release week" variant LP for $20.

I don't regret going at all but I feel a little empty inside. haha.

At least they said they would be back later in the year for a actual show

Interesting. It would have been a hassle for me to go, kind of glad I didn't to an extent.

    How did they sound? Set?

Spencer was solid but didn't sound amazing, IMO. Aaron doesn't seem to sing in the new songs? The new ones sound a little too nu-metal for me, but I need to listen to it some more.

I think this was it, in no order:
    Rapture
    On My Teeth
    New song I didn't know
    Writing on the Walls
    It's Dangerous Business...
    Reinventing Your Exit

If anyone has a ticket to the Rhode Island show that they're looking to part with, let me know. I didn't think I'd be able to go and when I found out I could it was too late. Tickets on StubHub are in$ane. I'm loving the new album...would love to see a few of those played live!

I don’t have a spare ticket but I’m flying solo to that show if you do end up going and want to get a beer or something.
