I still really love On My Teeth. If that's one of the worst songs on the album, then I'm in for a treat!

Yea at this point I’m just hoping for a good rock album with solid musicianship. This probably won’t touch the last 4 albums but hoping that it’s still enjoyable.

If there's nothing like A Divine Eradication on this album then count me out

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

    There's nothing even close.

There isn't anything really that close on that older albums right? That song is great though.

Honestly, after waiting 3 years for a new saosin album back in 2009 only to get In Search Of Solid Ground, nothing disappoints me to that level anymore haha

Still excited nevertheless, most of the negative things I'm reading is above their change of sound. As long as it sounds good I'm down for a different sounding uo. And the lyrics seem like the usual affair from these guys so I don't see the hate for them

Expectations have been lowered slightly so probably not. A few reviews have pointed out that the first half of the album isn’t that grand so i’ll just go into the album with that in mind.

It’s been 10 years since the last album with this lineup. I should have expected long ago that the magic wouldn’t come back in full swing.

I don’t find too much comfort in the rust argument bc the next album will surely be even more accessible. Obviously it can still be great, but if that’s not what you want, I’d imagine this is it for you lol

I don't get the hate for that record. Doesn't stand up against the S/T but save for two super mediocre songs, I thought ISOSG was fantastic.

I thought it was better than S/T. I don't really like S/T lol

  17. Once the allure of the "reunion" wears off ... 5 years from now ... I think people will look back on this album fondly. It's definitely not bad or horrible.

what about all the people in this thread who are saying it won't be good, though

the comments on social media have me worried that there won't be another record after this one. people hear 20 seconds of a song and they suddenly feel like they can make an opinion on the entire record..

I will NEVER understand people going to a bands FB and telling them their music sucks.. its so disrespectful... like if you don't like it thats fine, but you don't need to tell the band directly.

oh yea I actually think on my teeth bangs really hard. Both songs do. this music is meant to be listened to SUPER loud and thats sort of how I got into them, just blasting them in my ears.

What are you guys talking about of course a 10 second preview of a song is enough for me to want to get rid of my vinyl copy I preordered

Like idk why people get up in arms about others disliking stuff. The first two songs released for this, I think are pretty bad to terrible. None of the clips are remotely interesting to me.

It's almost like opinions differ. That's weird.

    hmmm

Are they getting annoyed about people disliking stuff? I think it's more the way those people choose to express their dislike.

I'm not keen on the first two songs they've released. But I also didn't go on their Facebook to tell them how shit this new music that they've worked really hard on is, which is, as @teebs41 said, massively disrespectful.
