When it first came out I blasted it in my college dorm and my roommate who hated that type for music had to suffer through it because i was too stoked to wait til he wasn't around to play it haha
Week leading up to Erase Me Monday - TOCS Tuesday - DTGL Wednesday - LITSOS Thursday - Disambiguation Friday - Dat New New
Interesting that people like LITSOS the most because I keep rotating between that and Disambiguation and I keep waiting to go back to Disambiguation. That first half is just unbelievable.
i realized when i finally caved and joined apple music a few weeks ago that since like 2005 i've only been listening to demo versions of a lot of songs off TOCS. it was eye opening.
The only times I miss AP.net are having access to the database to see what was said about albums in the past. Pulling up quotes and comments about, now well respected, albums and songs and bands. I miss nothing else.
Just when people shit on a band's new album/song I wish I could go look at when people did the same about the albums that now loved.
ahhh haha bc it sort of fit in with the narrative from the Q and A thread.. but yea, it would be nice to go back more. For me its Copeland's Ixora, that thread was special. oh and when HLNPIT really got discovered.
Yea i prefer both to whom it may concern and in completion to desolate earth. TWIMC was one of the tracks I clung to when I was trying to get used to that album
Listened to TOCS on a run today. Didn’t enjoy most of it. Made me feel old. But it’s dangerous business is still a fucking banger. Got me an extra half mile based on adrenaline alone. Still love it.
I love every song on that album except maybe The Impact of Reason. Down, Set, Go has awful lyrics but that acoustic breakdown is spectacular. Young And Aspiring/Reinventing/I'm Content With Losing are still as fresh as the day they came out
