so the HQ version changes the entire structure of the chorus? tight, i’ve never seen that happen before.
I totally know what you mean by them doing "accessible" before, but speaking as someone who just has a really hard time getting into hardcore music, this is a different level of accessible that feels like it was designed to help someone like me get into the band. It worked for me.
i don't hate this! can't feel like it's a regression bc even though it's accessible it's accessible in a totally different way from chasing safety. the chorus feels a little awkward but post-chorus melody ("there's no turning back" etc.) is real good imo
Song is great, don't see the hate for it if this is their version of radio rock it's great. Tonally it sounds like uo, just a radio friendly spin on their sound.
I think I like the song but something about how the drums sound has bugged me on these two songs. Echoing whoever said Spencer sounds like Anthony Green here.
It's ridiculously straightforward and uninteresting with the same two people singing on it that sang on that record
I was honestly expecting this change, I was just hoping it was more in the vein of Sunburnt. A little more uptempo without really abandoning what made them great. Rapture sounds like they are holding back.
Not over the moon about the new song, but On The Teeth is so great that I'm still so excited about this album.
