Damn, thought the song would be out any minute now since it's 2pm... Until I realized the show is in PST and hasn't even started yet lol
Song is playing now. Not kidding about the rock radio aspect of it. Still super into it. Might be the first album as a whole from them I am into.
Lol holy crap you guys weren't kidding when you said it was radio friendly...but I like it tbh. Much better hook than on my teeth. I imagine they'll get a lot of hate from some fans for it though.
It screams Sleepwave right away. They sound good, I just prefer them balancing stuff like this with their heavier elements. They hit that balance with On My Teeth but not here imo. I do enjoy it for what it is though.
Wish I knew how off the top of my head heh. I see that radio1 has a 30 sec preview though. From that clip, not sure how I feel about the song.
Oh sweet, you guys can listen to the song here, checking it out now! Look under "Performances" Underoath - New Songs, Playlists & Latest News - BBC Music

Not my favorite Underoath track, but it's enjoyable. Sounds like a mix of Sleepwave and Circa Survive. To me, it's just better than Sleepwave's stuff, but not quite as good as a lot of the tracks on Circa Survive's Descensus, which this song really reminds me of. The bridge is the best part of the song for sure.
So they're going to have a downtempo version of the chorus to end every song on this thing? kidding aside I like it. Cool melody/harmony for that last part of the chorus
Upon second listen, it's really catchy. I think I have a problem comparing Spencer's singing with SleepWave way too much, so I automatically loop that together. Bridge was great, into another stepped-down ending chorus, ha. Overall, I dig it.
