Yeah he really shines on it - the album is still plenty heavy - especially on the back half and Spencer sounds great

 

my early prediction was it’d sound like a build up on unsound and sunburnt which were definitely less heavy and more accessible, and I don’t think on my teeth was too different, so perhaps my prediction isn’t too off?

Those two songs were incredible

 

There’s a great “holy shit” moment in Sink With You

 

The bridge on ihateit is intense

if the heaviness is more post-hardcore than metal i dont think im gonna like this

 

No Frame is gonna be right up your alley I think

 

No Frame is very LITSOS-esque

"Rapture" reminds me I liked that The Damned Things album.

 

Would you say "On My Teeth" is one of the better tracks on the album?

 

Maybe? Probably not. One of the more straight forward ones.

 

Alright, I think my faith faltered a bit when I first starting reading the reactions, but now I'm back to being excited. I feel like these guys have the talent and vision to pull off whatever they're trying to do.

 

I want more atmospheric/sludgy metal from this like their last album, or even LITSOS and DTGL. Going to be very bummed if this leans more towards TOCS.

 

Cool thanks. One more question: how is the closer? The band usually ends their albums on a high note, so I'm curious if they continued that trend.

 

It's alright. Not my favorite. The piano is cool.

 

Ideally I’d want the same but they can go away from that without sounding like TOCS too

That's my favorite from the band and .. yeah .. their new shit sounds way different. haha.
