LAST post on this subject and for a while.. I could actually see underoath pulling this sound off in a way that I would really like. As long as the lyrics arnt like “True friends stab you in the front” it will be cool ha
I really like "Can You Feel My Heart" by Bring Me the Horizon. Not really a fan of anything else but that one's cool.
Everybody go listen to Limbs. They put out an EP last year (produced by Tim), and they toured with Saosin.
Update: now I’m listening to sleepwave. If this had been produced better I think people would have been more into it
On my teeth is still plenty heavy so I have faith this will still be really good. I thought ~half of each of the last 3 BMTH records were really good and UO are much better so if they go that route it can still be wonderful. Agreed with some of the others though that I wanted really heavy.
Can’t make judgments until we hear it. Maybe it’s not the Underoath we wanted but it’s the Underoath we needed
I just started listening to it and I totally agree. I have to turn my bass down so low in the car to hear Spencer's vocals in a lot of the songs, but I really like what I'm hearing. EDIT Hold Up My Head and Broken Compass are so good.
I’m gonna really dive into this album tomorrow in this thread But after two listens it’s good it’s different it’s still Underoath It’s honestly the album I expected in this musical climate after an 8 year hiatus
i guess the most exciting thing i’ve heard so far is it sounds like chris rips on it. all for a synthy album, even though i’d love some baritone riffs again too
Can’t wait for that, thanks for sharing your thoughts. Certainly not what I would have expected but I always wondered... what if they took that “other” path after chasing safety and stayed a more melodic band. Which is sort of cool to explore.. guess I’ll find out in less than a month
