I have the /100 pink variant of LITSOS but have been wanting that saw blade box set for a while now. Also have the 2xLP pressing of DTGL with the one of my favorite album covers (the vinyl cover is so much better than the standard/CD). Also have the gold variant of Disamb...
I was already kind of out of it with Underoath when they released the Anthology, so I don't think I ever listened to the two new songs on there. Has anyone mentioned how the chorus of Unsound sounds like it could've been pulled from a Circa Survive song? Also, listening to that song makes me glad Aaron is back in the band. Spencer is a good singer, but the variation between the two will be a good thing.
copeland's last might have been worse, there were variants you could only get in like the 100 dollar package lol, with the lowest vinyl one like, 30 bucks or more
You Are My Sunshine was crazy as well. Before they repressed it, you couldn't pick one up for under 200...
that's mostly because tooth and nail didn't really press records and the vinyl explosion hadn't happened yet, it was like that for all of their albums, copeland music was hard to get and then i had to support SRC, ugh
Definitely agreed on the Circa comparison, for both songs’ clean passages actually. But I disagree on Aaron tbh, I think those songs benefit tremendously from Spencer having what I consider to be a more “moody/atmospheric” vocal tone for lack of better words.
I think I just prefer Aaron's clean vocals to Spencer's most of the time, so that is definitely a personal preference.
I am still surprised Underoath hasn't gotten a repress from an SRC type place similar to Copeland for their records. And if it's more on Tooth & Nail, I'm more surprised because they've gone back and done tons of represses now. I love SRC represses because they usually sound good, and I can usually find them for resale for a fraction of the price. I've been burned by not buying from them a few times, like with Lydia's album (still need to get a copy from someone), but usually I end up buying their stuff super cheap. I did buy a few straight from them, like the Jimmy Eat World represses.
I have the saw blade but want the other two haha (or any 12” LITSOS) you can zoom in on the tour vinyl pic and read most of it
I live in San Francisco now (the mission!) and I’m originally from here but I actually lived in Silverlake in Los Angeles for almost my entire 20’s. I just moved back to SF a little over a year ago for career reasons. I miss Southern California though and want to eventually move back.
Might be getting a review copy of this album soon, the site I write for has some ties to the band’s camp as part of the Florida metal scene... #PrayForBeachdude
there was a tour variant? i only know the black and then the blue splatter, with then the 10" and then after that there was the twin 7" and the tour twin pressing as well as the main one. i guess there was a white one too? i can't remember that, maybe the original was choice of white or black? i forgot lol oh and there was a clear repress too, lol
