The chorus grew on me insanely on the second listen, I really really like it and the whole song now. I'll agree in that I hope the album has weirder stuff on it too but this song is dope.
Lost in the sound of separation is still such a perfect album. Cannot believe it’s turning 10 this year. Digging this new song more with every listen. Hoping for more riffage on the rest of the album.
The more I listen to it the more I agree they should’ve made the earlier choruses half time as well. Still think it’s great as it is, but if the song has a fault it’s that it doesn’t push and pull you in different directions like the best UO songs do, and that would’ve helped.
Okay so after a few more listens here are my thoughts: The song definitely sounds like a convergence between LITSOS, Disambiguation, Broken Compass, and the Anthology tracks. I hear vibes all of those and it's super neat that they are giving off a newer Underoath sound rather than older Underoath. Here is my prediction: This could very well be similar to what Thrice did where they don't necessarily push any new boundaries but instead write an incredibly solid comeback album that touches on the best elements of the band as a whole. I would not be opposed to this The riff in the chorus is quickly becoming one of my favorite aspects of the song besides the drumming.
Here's a YouTube playlist of the Lost In The Sound Of Separation Official Instrumentals btw. Check them out! :D Download here: MEGA
i was gonna say maybe neighborhood theatre charlotte but they are already doing rebellion so maybe not
I sort of can’t bring myself to listen to any other band right now ha, anyone else having this issue?
I can listen to dance music and The Beatles but right now I’m turning to Underoath for a modern band. They have plenty of music so it’s not too difficult
Jammed LITSOS a few times this morning. But really enjoying the new Levi the Poet album which came out yesterday too.
Intrigued. Tell me more about Sabor? I love Cabo’s blackened mahi mahi so if it’s better than that....
After repeated listens I’m totally on board with the new song, but as others have said I hope there is a lot more experimentation on the album. On My Teeth tho is a great first single choice. Very to the point, and poppy. Can totally hear those Gillespie chops. Just wish his voice was more prominent. Spencer kills it as always.
